EDITING FOR THE BRIEF

DEADLINE
All editor applications for Issue 2 of The Brief are due:
August 31st, 2024 at 11:59 E.S.T. and must be sent to eic.brief@canadianlawreview.ca
EDITOR ELIGIBILITY
To apply to be an Editor at the Brief, you must at least have completed 2 years of undergraduate studies, leading to a degree and:

Be Currently enrolled in your junior or senior year of an undergraduate degree, or be enrolled in graduate school.

Have editorial experience on any academic publication, including but not limited to; campus/university publications, national publications, and/or reputable academic journals.

Have strong writing experience and have published in an academic publication previously

Are familiar with and experience using McGill-style citations.

Be willing to commit 4-6 hours per week to editorial work, meetings, and availability.
APPLICATION MATERIALS
To apply, please complete and submit the following to eic.brief@canadianlawreview.ca:

A 1-2 page CV; which should include (if applicable): previous education, relevant writing and editorial experience, relevant work experience, relevant awards and certificates, published works, and contact information (Email, Phone Number, Linkedin).

A previously written academic paper in the field of social sciences or global studies, ranging between 8-15 pages (Times New Roman, Double-Spaced, Gont 12, 1-inch Margins), with a complete bibliography.

A short cover letter (1-2 paragraphs) summarizing their previous writing and editorial experience and detailing why they would be a good editor.
